Job Duties:
• Knowledgeable in cooperative, condominiums, rent-stabilized financial reporting.
• Understand regulations for co-ops, condos, rent stabilized apartments.
• Supervision of Major Capital Improvement projects, working with legal department and the operation department.
• Support Regional Financial Director, as needed.
• Frequently meet with Financial and Fund Directors for update on major events/transactions/issues.
• Supervise, train and coach staff to attain highest level of efficiency and effectiveness possible.
• Provide day to day direction, develop performance objectives, create development plans, provide coaching and feedback, conduct performance evaluations.
• Strategic supervision and coordination of all audit and reporting requirements, due dates and distributions.
• Act as liaison with independent auditors, coordinate interim review procedures and final audits; Conduct preparation of US GAAP and US Tax basis financial statements and projections as required.
• Responsible for analytic review of all property financial statements and analysis.
• Establish new entity structures within MRI and the reporting system.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports to investors.
• Assist the Fund Accounting group with resolving technical accounting issues and documentation of position papers.
• Coordinate with and assist the regional team in the preparation of Annual Budgets as necessary.
• Manage quarterly compliance testing as required by Property level debt instruments.
• Manage preparation of monthly reports.
• Provide additional information or clarification to the regional teams and Property Managers to ensure the timely analysis for actual vs. budget and projections.
• Conduct periodically detailed review of property work papers. etc; Periodically review tenant arrearages; Conduct periodic reviews of monthly reports included on Intranet site.
• Manage process for any escalation audit reviews with tenants.
• Preparation of closing statements with sale occurs.
• Manage process of due diligence of acquisition, disposition and refinancing with Regional Financial Director.
• Review distribution quarterly schedules to owners.
Requirements:
• Six to eight years experience in residential real estate accounting.
• Knowledge of all entity information documents and structuring considerations, both GAAP and tax.
• Argus experience.
• Ability to operate computer system and effectively input and download pertinent information.
• Ability to use and gain sufficient knowledge of computer software currently utilized by company.
• Must have good Excel skills.
Salary: 110k-160k ( DOE)
