COO

A nationally recognized real estate firm with a national investment portfolio, seeks a leader to direct the planning of long and short term financial goals and long range plans and budgets for the company based on corporate goals and objectives.

The COO will provide financial guidance across the entire organization, focusing heavily on accounting, reporting and analysis.

This position will provide a unique opportunity for a dynamic professional who thrives in an entrepreneurial setting.

The COO will report to the CEO and work directly with senior management staff. Day to day responsibilities for the “hands-on” financial executive.

Job Duties:
• Managing all accounting, budgeting, cash flow, internal/external auditing, purchasing controls and providing reporting to executive management. Drive improvements in the day to day management of the corporate finance functions. Coordinate with external auditors.
• Analyzing and appraising the company’s financial position and issuing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports in regards to financial stability, liquidity and growth. Monitor performance against goals.
• Providing leadership for the company’s financial operations and oversight of general accounting, reporting, financial planning and analysis and MIS.
• Developing strategic relationships with financial institutions and business partners
• Implementing new systems to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Reviewing organizational structure, work flow of job functions.
• Preparing review of corporate processes, projects and tasks.


Requirements:
Real Estate Accounting Experience
Residential accounting experience a plus
Bachelors degree required
MBA a plus
CPA preferred - Big 4 background a plus
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong leadership skills
Minimum 10 years experience in real estate residential operations
Tax Credit Experience and Knowledge
